JANUARY 16
Beforehand we expected the field trip unworthy to be considered one. How come? For one, it's not in EK anymore. This year's field trip was at La Mesa Eco Park and a Wawa Dam, but it's our last retreat --- so it should be worth the while.
At the morning of the dayitself, i was rushing because i was tossed 15 minutes late out of sched. I slept late the evening before. Aldo offered me a ride to school, so i was obliged to meet him at McDo QCAve. at around 5:30am. I thought i would be commuting riding a jeep, but i took a taxi instead. Got there 8minutes late of our meeting time :) Now, Ian text's that we should meet up at McDo Katips, next thing i knew i would be eating breakfast again. When we got there, Ian wasn't there , so me and Aldo took desert and a seat. Around 6 o'clock, our call time at school, Ian wasn't there and suddenly Benjo offers us a ride since Aldo's driver already left. After fifteen minutes, we all met each other and ate our breakfasts and continued our way to the HS with Ayo.
The astig thing when we got there is that the iboys classroom was specially opened for us. Most of them were there, while some people were outside. 6 30 was the time to board the bus, so we moved along. Actually, 630 was the time to depart, but the actual time we left was around 7:10 am. Ma'am Sacluti needed the reply slip for the field trip in order for us to join the trip. It was recquired, but my seatmate, Manasan didn't have one. He said to Macky, "Barberuhin mo nalang na meron ako". Hahaha. Hahaha. Benta sobra, kaso hindi niya narining kaya sobrang benta rin :)) Our tour guides were Tommy and Tommy's Companion(forgot already, it's been roughly three weeks).
The guides, usually had their chit chat of information for us. Regularly, no one listens. The classed then watched Bedtime Stories starring Adam Sandler care of Marvin. It was bitin because of the fact that the DVD was pirated. Our first itenerary was Wawa Dam at Montalban, Rizal. We passed by Payatas, a familiar route when we went to Payatas Trese twice for the Gawad Kalinga Outreach(3rd Year). We arrived there in around 30mins. On the way, we saw numerous junkshop, dump sites, trash towers and a checkpoint. We though that it ws the NPA :)) Just ordinary, baranggay police.
WAWA DAM - When we went down the bus, it was SOBRANG COLD. Not just cold, just remember the January Early Morning Cool Days. We had to wear our jacket for the first hour, but later the sun started to take its peak. We trekked our way to the Dam. Along the way, people were staring at us. It's either ngayon pa lang sila nakakita ng Atenista or ngayon lang nila nakita si Torre :)) There were sari-sari stores at the facade. The path was kind of narrow. In addition, there were these merchants carrying sacks of charcoal and vegetables. Apparently, they were transporting it near the sari-sari stores for the packs to be sold. We even saw a kid carrying a bucket on his shoulders. Damn, some say they saw a lola -- a gayot lola. Oh yea, a output was recquired for the field trip. It wasn't pure enjoy enjoy, our facilitator said. Our task mainly, for Physics was to take Pictures and make it into a calendar. Also, there should be a tanaga and poems describing the photos. It should include p6 concepts or TD shitness. Benjo, borrowed our cgroups camera because he charged a camera with no battery inside the said gadget. How...
He and Oba were the assigned photographers. They took pictures of the mountain, the scenery, the dam and other picture perfect subjects.
We reached the dam, but it never looked like a dam. It sort of resembled a mini version of a waterfall. Fantastic! The pattern of the water was very tantalizing. No trivia was given, i don't why but we just passed the damn. kaWAWA naman. There were "squaters" everywhere, and Bulex never dared to provoke any of them. The TD Jeep Attack was much of a horror for him and for US! When we got to this river, we started to toss rocks across. Our target was a tree on the other side. It was not yoour ordinary tree, it this was not an ordinary field trip attraction for us. We even skipped stones. However, there were people on boats crossing the river. We stopped. Then the guide said some blah blah things again. Now, it was time to rappel. ADVERTISMENT! Some of us needed to take a leak. Seriously, and those mountains do not have a built in restroom. Unfortunately for nature, we hit the rocks. One by one, iboys would piss on an isolated rock area. I was the last to do my thing, and shit it was very awkward. They also said, "Ma'm oh si Macrohon umiihi. Picturan nyo nga." Kaya, naudlot yung heaven time ko :)) Badtrip
When i was doing it, others were already strapping on their rapelling gear. Then the person said, "Wala na sarado na". So FUCK, i wasn't able to rappel. Well, it didnt look challenging and sort of a waste of time and of life, when my rope rips apart. Aldo, Paul, Josef, Mico, Junie and Ian were the brave souls. Puzon sana, kaso the ropes might break and he might not be able to climb up.
After all that, we went back to the bus for lunch.
